Crump, a longtime resident of Bowie, Maryland, and Founder and former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Maryland Opera Society, Inc. in Prince George's County, Maryland. The purpose of the Competition is to focus on young talented singers who are seeking a career in singing, and to encourage, assist and support them in their efforts and studies.
