Weekly Update: Monday June 30

Greetings:

This week the Center is finishing up the new light plot for the main stage. We're also prepping for the upcoming M-NCPPC Shakespeare Camp that starts Monday next. Shakespeare Camp was a lot of fun last year. We open the Center for the before-care counselors between 6:30 and 7:00 AM and have campers until around 7:00 in the evening.

Coming at the end of the first week of camp (Friday the 11th) M-NCPPC's Cafe Groove will present _Expressions: Talk Up, Not Down 2008._ For those of you who aren't familiar with the program, last year M-NCPPC sponsored the Watts Prophets'* working during a two week camp with a group of seriously at-risk children and young adults using the spoken word as their medium. This years program sees the participants from last year working with a new group.

This week the Center recognizes another Salisbury University student: Jennifer Bagdasian. A junior, majoring in Accounting and minoring in Theatre, Jennifer is from Silver Springs and works as a Stage Hand at the BCPA. She has been with us for over a year mostly during school breaks.
